Instructions :

  • Place toor dahl in a mesh colander and rinse in heat water. Transfer to a saucepan. Cover with 2 cups water and salt; deliver to a boil. Cook, blanketed, over medium heat, until soft, approximately 40 minutes.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet. Add cumin; prepare dinner till cumin swells and turns golden brown, 1 to 2 mins. Add onion, ginger, and turmeric; cook dinner and stir until onion is softened, about five minutes.
